Creative Industries and Entrepreneurship Forum in the framework of Creotalents project
On April 15, 2019, Creotalents project team (Center of entrepreneurship CACTLE of L.N. Gumilyov ENU, University of Birmingham (UK) and Oxford Brooks University (UK)) organized and held the creative industries and entrepreneurship forum in the Hilton Garden Inn hotel as part of the Creative Spark British Council program.

The meeting served as a discussion platform between the academic environment, government agencies, public organizations, associations and unions in the development of the creative industry of Kazakhstan.
The moderator of the event, Доктор Армияш Нұрмағамбетова spoke about the importance and role of entrepreneurship skills and entrepreneurial thinking in developing the creative industry capacity.
Доктор Эндрит Кромида made a presentation on “International collaboration and creative entrepreneurs”.
Prof Levent Altinay spoke about a strategic global vision for creative industries and entrepreneurship.
The presentation of the representative of the British Council in Kazakhstan Galina Koretskaya was devoted to the creative economy, creative directions in the economy.
Representatives of NCE “Atameken” and “Damu” Fund told about the possibilities of state financial and non-financial support of entrepreneurs.
Sisengali Kalakar said about how to develop domestic franchise, including in the area of creative industries.
Conference participants also heard the speech of the head of “Eurasian Cultural Alliance”, a representative of the company “Strategy partners”, etc.
The panel discussion provided an opportunity to discuss the potential of the creative industry in Kazakhstan, to determine the ecosystem of creative entrepreneurship and future cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, Professor Levent Altinay summarized the discussions and recommendations of the Creotalents team, which should contribute to the motivation of people in creative professions to start their own business and build a successful business. Special attention was paid in the recommendations, to the state support of the creative sector, through financial and non-financial regulators, using the opportunities for the development of the Silk Road and the Eurasian Union.
